Baby Hayden's HERE!

After a long long wait and much anticipation...Baby Hayden is FINALLY HERE!!! On March 3rd, 2006 at 19:19, Baby Hayden finally says his first "Hello" at North York General Hospital after 15 hours of labor, the chubby little one weights 7lb-8oz! Let me shout: CONGRATS Linda & Ivan!!

We went to see the baby & mom & dad this afternoon. It's so amazing to see them as parents! A few days ago this little precious was still in Linda's tummy, I was still touching her tummy and feeling him kicking inside...now he's in my arms, looking at me and the world!! Wasn't it just yesterday that we were still in highschool sneaking out of class together? Now they are a mom & dad?!

Linda really fought a great fight for this little one, she is exhausted! I can’t believe she actually didn’t take any epidural (pain relief medicine) so it was a VERY painful process…I can only imagine….no….I REALLY CAN'T IMAGINE!! So proud of you girl! I tell you my dear, you look beautiful!! It’s a very happy, content beauty that you can only find on a new mother’s face!

Watching Allen & Ivan with the baby was simply HILARIOUS!!! 2 big boys vs. 1 tiny baby that wouldn’t drink….

Yeah! Way to go guys!! Mission accomplished!!!

Baby Hayden hasn’t slept much since birth, perhaps he has already waited too long to see this world! Or perhaps today is such a nice sunny day that Baby Hayden already wants to go out to play ball with daddy! (But that means mommy hasn’t slept much neither!)…C’mon Hayden, sleep tight tonight so mommy & daddy can sleep a good one, okie?

When we left the hospital, I asked him, “what do you think?” He said, “God’s creation is amazing…It’s overwhelming to see that such a tiny tiny one actually has EVERYTHING (every organ & such) that you & I have….and it’s going to grow by the day and will soon be bigger and taller than you & I !!!”

Yes, it is AMAZING!
"...you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made..." Psalm 139:13-14

Can You Spare a Moment?

Once upon a time I don't even remember when, I got attracted to the idea of parkettes -- tiny pieces of park in the mist of urbanite. Not that they are anything flashy, most of the time you don't even notice them. However, they provide a window, a tiny escape to enjoy a piece of green, to reflect, or simply to breathe.

Have you ever take note of these parkettes in our city? Be in around your home or work, have you ever take a moment to enjoy them? This parkette is located at Spadina/Bloor, titled "Can you spare a moment?" -- tiny piece of sod is planted in the middle of the parkette. The artist invite bypassing pedestrians to "spare a moment" -- to sit down, to chat, to stop your footsteps and breathe a little...

Question is: How many of us will accept the artist's invitation?

Rather than asking "Can you spare a moment", maybe the real question is --- "Will you spare a moment"?

The Lord our God ask this of us everyday....How will you respond?
